We went to the Scotland Yard to see Watson. Then, when we got to the roof. Waston wasn’t there. We thought that he would be up here because Sherlock Bones told us that Waston would be here. So, we went downstairs to where one of the officers were sitting. We asked him where Waston was. He told us, “Waston is busy at the moment. He won’t be able to see you until Saturday.”
“Saturday, but this is urgent,” I said to him.
“I heard that one,” laughed the officer. “Now, please leave or I will have to arrest you for making up stuff that isn’t real.” We just left.
“I can’t believe he didn’t believe us,” I said as I kicked one of the garbage cans.
“I know you would think that he would,” said Cody. “We are telling the truth.”
“Maybe, it won’t happened until then,” said Seth.
“What do you mean?” asked Sabrina.
“Well, it could be possible that it could happened on Saturday,” said Seth. “It could happened.” We looked at Seth with confusion.
“Seth,” I said. “Do you know something that we don’t know about this O’Leary problem?”
“No,” said Seth. “We did you think that? I wouldn’t help them out. I’m on your side.”
“Okay,” I said. “I guess we can go back home for the week.” And that’s what we did.
The next week was good and bad in it’s own ways. The only way it was good was that we were are school and that I can have Harry in the classroom now. Cyrus allowed pets in the classroom as long as they don’t make any noises. Although, I had to train Harry not to bark and not jump on him like he would do at home. It was a lot of work, but it was worth it. At the end of the training though, we were both tired and we fell asleep that night. But now, he is a good boy. But, that was the only good things about my week. The rest of the week was hell. Seth was avoiding us for part of the week. We asked Cody to see what’s with his brother. Then, he came back to us saying that he was just working on a project for Balance. Weird. Then, I been having nightmares for the last few nights. It’s been horrible. I keep seeing this face in all of them. I don’t know what this means, but, this person has braids and black hair. I don’t know who this person is, but I hope that it’s not someone that could hurt us or is a traitor.
It was Saturday. I got ready and went straight to Marleybone. We went to Scotland Yard and went to the rooftop. And there was Waston. Watson was freaking out about something.
“Are you the wizards that were that come here to help us?” asked Waston. We nodded. “Good. The O’Learys are attacking.” We were shocked. We thought they would attack them last week. Something was up. Then, Watson told us about the O’Learys were attacking the city and that it hasn’t been like that since a war. They were planning to break to prison so they can free Meowiarty. He is a clever and very dangerous thief in all of Marleybone. Waston wasn’t able to come with us because of his injury so we had to go it alone. But, we would have some help from one of the Officer Ness. So, we went to prison.
We were outside of the prison and we saw Officer Ness. He was happy to see us because Newgate Prison was being attacked by the undead.Then, he said something that would scare me even more than anything It was the Malistaire’s name. I started to shaking.
“Are you okay, Roslyn?” asked Sabrina.
“No,” I said. “Are we sure, we should do this?”
“Yes,” said Cody. “We have to stop Meowiarty from escaping.” Cody comforted Roslyn.
“Thank you,” Roslyn said back. “Okay. Let’s stop Meowiarty.”
“Okay,” he said back. Then, the officer told us that Malistaire was using the undead to break Meowiarty out. We had to get up to the second tower and stop him. So, we started running to the second tower. There was a lot of undead in the prison. We got to his cell and he was gone. Officer Malone yelled to us that Meowiarty has escape. Then, we went to the rooftops Then, we found him. We weren’t far from him. Then, he said to us.
“You want to catch me? You’ll find I’m more than a common street rabble. I have friends in powerful places. A shame that you’ll never meet them.” Then, he summoned two O’Leary Bullies. Seth started to battle them. Then, we were done. Officer Stone called to us and told us that Meowiarty went in his direction. If Meowiarty comes back to him; he will capture him. So, we went into the direction Stone to us to go. Then, we see Meowiarty again, but Malistaire was right next to him. Then Meowiarty said, “I see you didn’t take to my soldier. Then, let me introduce you to my good friend.” Then, he summoned two Shield Skeletons and run away. Sabrina went after the Skeletons and defeat them. Another officer called to us. He notice that Meowiarty had summoned the undead. He know that he had help of the “magical” kind and that we know would know better. He told us there was a O’Leary hideout down the street. He thought that Meowiarty was there. We went down there...and he wasn’t there. It was just another O’Leary rat that was there. It didn’t take us that long to defeat him. The rat surrendered really fast though. He told us that he left just awhile ago, but he would be at the old warehouse. We looked for Meowiarty and we found him. He was not happy to see us, “My, my. You don’t give up, don’t you? You need to learn when you can’t win. Allow me to teach you why.” Meowiarty summoned Shriekers at us. Sabrina and Seth went into battle even though me and Cody didn’t really have to battle any of them. They were able to defeat him, but they were starting to get tired to the point they were going to pass out. We walk to one of the officers. He told us to that Meowiarty went to North Clocktower. We went to the tower. Now, Meowiarty was really annoyed with us. “I grow weary of this game you insist of playing. I’m out of patience... but you’re out of constables. Even if you survive, you won’t be able to follow me. Cheerio.” He summoned his last creature that was Agony Wraith. Cody and I went into battle since Sabrina and Seth was still tired from battling the undead. Cody was able to defeat the Agony Wraith and I was able to defeat the minion. I was still bothered by the fact that Malistaire was helping cause trouble here in Marleybone. We went back to Watson and told him what we say. Watson was shocked to hear that. He said that we should go into Knight’s Court. But, I didn’t want to.
“Hey guys,” I said. “I’m going to go home for the day.”
“Why?” asked Cody with concern look on his face.
“I don’t feel so good,” I said. “I just need to rest.”
“Okay,” said Seth. “I guess we can do it tomorrow.
“Yeah,” I said. “Bye.” Everyone waved to me and I just teleported home.
When I got home, there was no one there. I just ran up to my room and started to cry. I don’t know why I was crying, but this is the first time I felt scared for my own life. The only time I was scared was Charlie(my old dad) would make me do things that I didn’t want to do. Why is today making me so remember all of this things. I started to cry so more until Cyrus come in the room.
“Is there something wrong, Roslyn?” he asked.
“No,” I cried.
“Are you sure?” he asked me again. “You are still crying.”
“I’m fine,” I screamed and threw a pillow at him. I didn’t think it would hit his face, but it did.
“Okay,” he said. “I’m just going to leave you alone then.” Cyrus closed the door. Harry jumped right next to me and started to barking at me.
“I know I shouldn’t have gotten mad at him Harry,” Roslyn was petting Harry. “I was just bothered by what happened today. It’s starting to bring up memories and things that happened to me while I was in the Mortal world. I just hope that he doesn’t find out.” Roslyn hugged Harry. Harry licked Roslyn on the cheek. Roslyn smiled a bit. There was a knock on the door. “Come in.” Annie come into the room.
“Hey, Roslyn,” she said. “Did something happened today?”
“No,” said Roslyn with a smile.
“Are you sure?” asked Annie. “Cyrus, look depressed and he went into his library.”
“No, something is bothering me,” I said in a defeated tone. I told her what happened today, but nothing about it reminding me about my past. She was so shocked to hear that and she hugged me, really tight.
“I’m sorry that this had to happen to you,” Annie said to me in a sweet voice. “I just hope that you feel better.”
“Yeah.”
We continued to hugged each other until it was time to go eat dinner and eat. I was really quiet during dinner. It was strange. I just wanted to go to bed and sleep. But, what I didn’t know that my dreams would haunt for the rest of the night.
I went to sleep at around 10:00. I was really tired and I really need the sleep. I was able to sleep really good for the most part, but it was around 2 o’clock in the morning; I started to get one of my “dreams”.
I don’t know where I was this time, but all I know I was in Cyrus’ library. I don’t know why, but I decided to look for Cyrus. I looked all over the library for him. I found him at his desk working on papers. I took a sigh of relief. I’m glad that everything is good. Then, a black smoke appeared. It was Malistaire. I gulped. What is he doing here? I decided to walk closer to the both of them. Malistaire cleared his throat and Cyrus look up.
“Malistaire!” Cyrus was shocked. “What are you doing here?”
“Oh, nothing,” he said back. “I just wanted to say hello and drop by.”
“Funny,” Cyrus said sarcastically. “Last time I check, you didn’t want to come back here and talk to me.”
“But, that was the past,” said Malistaire. “This is the present.”
“Don’t make me laugh,” said Cyrus. “You didn’t really care about me or my wife. Why do you care now?”
“Well...” Malistaire paused. “I saw someone that is really interesting. She look just like you.”
“I don’t know what you are talking,” said Cyrus.
“You tell him Cyrus,” I shouted.
“Yes you do,” Malistaire remarked. “You know who I am talking about.” Cyrus shook his head. “Fine. It’s about your daughter. I thought I show her today. I didn’t know it at first because it’s been years since I seen her. The last time I saw her was when she was a baby. But, she looks just like you. She has the same blue eyes.”
“How would I know that?” asked Cyrus. “I haven’t seen my daughter for thirteen years. I know that she wouldn’t know about the Spiral or about me and Annie. She probably happy living there.”
“Really?” questioned Malistaire. “I don’t think she would be happy. She probably be more happy if she was here with me. She would love to travel around the Spiral. So, do you know where she is?”
“No,” Cyrus said back. “You asked me that same question all the time. I will always say no to that question. I don’t even remember where my own daughter is. Besides, she is safe.”
“Okay,” said Malistaire. “I know you would say that. I guess, if you won’t tell me where she is, then I will found her myself. If she doesn’t want to help me, then I will force her to help me whether she likes to or not.”
“You wouldn’t,” said a threatened Cyrus.
“I will,” said Malistaire. “I will see you again real soon.” Then, Malistaire disappeared. Cyrus sit in his chair and put his head on the desk. I started to cry. The nightmare was over.
I woke up and started to cry and scream. Harry woke up with me. I couldn’t stay in my room. I just want to run away. I left my room, ran to Cyrus and Annie’s room, and jumped into their bed.
“What the heck?” said Cyrus. I just continued to cry.
“What happened, Roslyn?” asked Annie as she patted my hair. “Did you have a bad dream?” I nodded. “Do you want to sleep with us for the rest of the night?” I nodded. “Okay.”
“Are you sure about this, Annie?” asked Cyrus.
“Yes,” she answered. “She needs the comfort by her parents. She just need to feel that she is protected.”
“You’re right,” said Cyrus. “She does look like she need a hug.”
“Yep,” smiled Annie.” Annie hugged me. I know Cyrus was a bit hesitant at first, but then he hugged me. I started to calm down, eventually I stopped crying. I fell asleep in their bed.
The next morning, I woke up in their room. I was confused, then I remember what happened last night. I ran in here and was crying. Then, I went to sleep here. It was nice that they would do that. I smiled. Then, Cyrus turned to me.
“Good morning,” he said to me. “How are you feeling? You were really scared last night.”
“Yes, I said.” Cyrus hugged me.
“So, what happened?” Cyrus asked me.
“Well...” I paused. “I had a dream that you were talking to Malistaire. And that he would take me by force if he has to. I don’t know why, but he would.”
Cyrus was shocked. “Yeah,” he said back. “It’s true that I talk to him. I didn’t think he would come and see me. It was strange. He mention that he saw you.” Roslyn nodded. Cyrus sigh. “I guess when you went to go catch Meowiarty, Malistaire was helping him and he didn’t know that you were there. Was he surprised at all when he saw you? I just had to ask.”
“No,” I said quietly. “Not at first. It was after awhile he started notice. Then again, he didn’t say anything to us. But, did he say that he say me?”
“Yes,” Cyrus said. “I guess you saw what happened during the time I was in the library yesterday.” Roslyn nodded. “I know that was really scary. I was scared too. Just seeing him again, just put shivers down my spine. He not did that before. He was a great guy. I just want to help him.” I nodded. Cyrus continue to hugged me. I guess he was still bothered by yesterday too. It feels good that he knows what I’m going through. I hugged him back. This is probably the first time I hugged him. I smiled.
“Aw,” said Annie.
“You are enjoying this aren’t you,” said Cyrus.
“Yes,” said Annie with a smile. “I’m glad you two are getting along.” She hugged us. I was really happy to feel the warmth of them, which make me feel better. I feel like I can get through today at least. After our little family moment, Cyrus made breakfast. I got ready and left.
I went to Waston. Cody and Seth were there, but not Sabrina.”Where is Sabrina?” I asked. Then out of nowhere, Sabrina appeared.
“Sorry,” apologized Sabrina. “I overslept today. I was staying my parents house.” We nodded and we listened to Waston. We need to find Meowiarty, but we would need to get some detectives. But, they are having some problem with their own cases. We decided to help him with one of their tougher cases. He nodded. He told us that Jacques the Scratcher was bothering the public. So, it’s up to us to save them.
We found Sergent Steeg and he told us about the problems going on in Knight’s Court. There was another person that got attacked by him too. So, we went to Linda Milltop. She told us about the attack and that Jacques the Scratcher was in the tower. We went into the tower, and there he was. He wasn’t as strong as we thought he because we were able to defeat him. He told us that he is going to come back at us with revengeance. So, he hiss at us. We told the sergeant about it. He was not too happy because they weren’t able to catch him. He had us deal with his minions so that there is last of them on the street. They were really easy. The sergeant was happy that there is less scratches than before. Now, we can work on the case. We started to talk to one of the ladies that was scratch by him last night. Catherine Dalton said that her experience was horrible and all she remembers was a black bag. Amy Brooks, another victim, she told us about the attack and that she was scared to go back home. She wanted the constables to check it out. We went to the sergeant about it and he had us go to her house to make sure that everything is okay. Once we got there, we were ambushed. We were able to defeat the minions. One of them dropped a glove with the initials XX on it. It’s really strange. We didn’t know anybody with those initial on them. Sergeant Steeg was confused with all of this clues that he had us go and see Angus Crankenhop. In the inside, I was laughing at name on the inside. We went to him and told him about the clues that we gotten so far. He said there was a person that lives in Knight’s Court that was named Xavier Xandros. We went back to Sergeant Steeg and told him about it. Then, he figure out that the doctor was the bad guy all of this time. We went to the tower and we comforted one more time. But this time, he was stronger. It was really hard for us since he was stronger. But, we were able to beat him. Sergeant Steeg was happy to hear that. We went back to Waston to report it and he’s glad that everyone is happy in Knight Court. I hope there isn’t anything else for me to do today. But, I was wrong.
